Adventurer
|
This is the hero, the principal character in the adventure. He is the character that the readers/audience will root for, they want him to win. He is the character that the readers/audience will follow through the entire Adventure. |

Comic
|
He is the funny character, who brings in the light-heartedness and the comedian in the adventure. |

Custodian
|
The Custodian characters are the keeps of the treasure or prize that the Adventurer is seeking. They are the final guardians, the big boss character that stands between the adventurer and his reward. The Adventurer has to then figure out how he can overcome the Custodians to get to his prize. |

Douchebag/Vixen
|
The Douchebag/Vixen character are the annoying characters that drive everyone nuts. They will mess things up and create chaos whenever they show up - they are the characters that has no morals and seem to exist simply to make things difficult for everyone else. |

Gatekeeper
|
The Gatekeeper protects the "gateways" that the Adventurer will need to pass through in order to get to the end of the adventure. In this way, for the Adventurer to pass, the Gatekeeper present the Adventurer with the challenges that he will need to pass through the "gateways". |

Guardian
|
The Guardian character serves to "protect the adventurer", from harm. With all the best intentions, the Guardian can get in the way of the Adventurer achieving his quest. |

Herald
|
The Herald appears at the early stage of the adventure that presents the task or challenge - the "Call to Adventure" to the Adventurer. It can come in the form of a quest, a calamity to be prevented, a prize or reward to be won, an enemy to escape from or any combination of the above, with a promise of a new life after the adventure. |

Lover
|
The Lover adds a romantic element to the Adventurer's story. He or she might show up as a Supporter or Sidekick to the Adventurer that eventually develops into something move. It creates an emotional angle and raises the stakes of the Adventurer in his journey. |

Mentor
|
The Mentor is the teacher who appears to the Adventurer who will equip him with knowledge, skills and tools to to travel his journey and overcome his obstacles. The Mentor also urges the Adventurer forward, and provides insights and guidance as necessary to move him forward in his journey. |

Nemesis
|
The Nemesis has one intent - which is to destroy the Adventurer and stop him from completing his journey or quest. He may also be the Villain or he can be an independent character - he might not be the reason for the adventure that's occurring. |

Polymorph
|
The Polymorph character is the shapeshifter. He/she is unpredictable and may start as a friend and eventually emerge as an enemy later into the adventurer. He/she may continue to change form throughout the entire adventure. |

Rival
|
The Rival character is the Adventurer's adversary - he creates the urgency of getting to the prize. The villain becomes also the adversary when he is the contended to the prize or reward that the Adventurer is seeking in his journey. |

Shadow
|
The Shadow character is the character that the audience will have aversion to - it reflects themes that we do not want to acknowledge within ourselves. These are the traits that we then dislike in other people. |

Sidekick
|
The Sidekick character is the partner-in-crime of the Adventurer - he is the person that the Adventurer has conversations with, and connects with at a deeper level than the other supporters. The Sidekick understands the Adventurer the most, and is the person who will watch the Adventurer's back. He bails the Adventurer out when the Adventurer gets into trouble, and complements him in many ways that make them a great team. |

Supporter
|
Supporter Characters are the Adventurer's companions in the journey. They may be with him for the entire duration of the journey or just a part of it. They are the ones who help the Adventurer overcome his challenges though they might not initially play that role - however there will be a point when the Adventurer gains their trust, loyalty and respect, and the audience will see the worthiness of the Adventurer. |

Trickster
|
The Trickster is the positive character, who, with the Comic character, adds the elements of fun and humor to the story. The Trickster character can be unpredictable and does not conform to the status quo, expanding the reality box of the Adventurer with his crazy antics. He can sometimes help the Adventurer move forward in his journey, and at other times get in the way. |

Villain
|
The Villain Character is the "bad guy" whom the Adventurer sets out to defeat. He creates the conflicts or is the reason for the conflicts that then creates the adventure or give purpose to the adventure. Without the villain, there is no reason for the journey to take place. |
